Top Film & Television Apps in France Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top Film & Television applications in France demonstrated robust performance across various metrics. Data from Sensor Tower provides valuable insights into the trends for downloads, revenue, and active users.

Netflix saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at around $188K in late December and peaking at approximately $290K in early February. Weekly downloads fluctuated, beginning at 129K and ending the quarter at 76K. The app maintained a strong active user base, averaging around 9M to 10M weekly active users, though there was a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

Amazon Prime Video experienced varied weekly revenue, peaking at $100K in late February. Weekly downloads started at 88K and saw a dip to 55K by mid-March, before ending the quarter at 70K. Active users hovered around 1.5M at the start but dropped to approximately 1.4M towards the end of the quarter.

Disney+ displayed impressive revenue figures, beginning at $525K and peaking at $863K in early January. Downloads showed a downward trend from 109K at the start to 65K by the end of March. The app's active user count also declined slightly from 2.9M to around 2.4M over the quarter.

CANAL+ had relatively stable revenue, with a peak of $110K in late February. Downloads were consistent, starting at 57K and ending at 43K. Active users increased from 894K in late December to over 1M in mid-February, before settling around 930K by the end of March.

SALTO saw notable revenue growth, starting at $154K and reaching $316K by the end of February. Downloads decreased from 130K in late December to 30K in late March. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 240K throughout the quarter.
